House remodelling makes glossy front cover and Andy Miles’s profile – a month of AMAD in the news
AMAD’s craftsmanship has been highlighted on the front cover of a national lifestyle magazine.
The luxury home designed and built for Sarah Silvey has been appeared in a seven-page feature and on the cover of the December edition of Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms.
Separately in the Stratford Herald AMAD’s founder Andy Miles has revealed how he started out as an architect.
In the two-page portrait Andy outlines the architectural values which have underpinned AMAD for nearly 20 years.
He said: My first job was a baptism of fire working in the development team at Birmingham Airport.’
Following his work with the airport Andy had the idea of an architectural drop in center.
‘The idea was to make it a bit more personable and accessible, we had drawing boards and models in the window – which we still have today. So people can drop in and get a bit of advice,’ he said and in 2001 Andy established his practice in Alcester.
The double page spread highlights AMAD’s latest project the six barn development at Upper Wawensmoore, outside of Henley in Arden.
