“Building a Reputation”

An architectural practice in Alcester is celebrating ten years in business. A M Architectural Design Ltd has worked on over 600 projects and built up a vast technical knowledge and good relationships with local authorities over the decade.

Managing director Andy Miles worked in the development department at Birmingham International Airport before setting up the practice in December 1999. He said “when the company was set up, I wanted to change the stereotypical perception associated with architectural professionals being formal and uncommunicative and open our doors to the public to make the whole process more transparent. In the past, one of our kitchen designs has been featured on the front cover of a national magazine. Several other projects have previously been short listed for Local Authority Design Awards and several more are about to be entered into the Daily Telegraph Homebuilding and Renovating Awards 2009″. A M Design undertakes projects of all sizes, varying from small domestic extensions right through to large property makeovers and one off bespoke new build properties, one of which being an eco-friendly, zero carbon replacement dwelling that has recently been approved at planning stage. Along with Andy, the team consists of Technicians Sean, Stuart and Ruth who are assisted by Business and Marketing Administrator, Danielle.
