“Ahead of the game”

The main intention of the centre is to bring building design and advice down to street level, a customer friendly source of information open to the general public and to raise the profile of quality in design.

The staff offer a friendly and personal approach and are able to advise and guide visitors and clients to building contractors, allied professionals, sources of materials and interior designers, many of whose companies have advertisements on display within the centre. The public and professionals alike are encouraged to call in for an informal chat, although appointments can be made with partners for a no obligation initial consultation for practice guidance on a specific project proposal, planning issue or general construction query.

The design theme running through the centre is minimalist, yet bring, warm and inviting. Features include a library of magazines, periodicals and technical information with leaflets advising on a variety of topics and details of events. There is also the opportunity to use an online PC for free, with useful website listings and other on site facilities include a meeting / seminar room and a self service coffee bar.

The partners benefit from over 35 years experience in architectural design and are able to lead people through the often precarious yet necessary routes to acheiving the best results for their invidividual project, concerning all aspects of planning, regulations, management, design and construction. Clients can be confident of a first class, reputable service based around imaginative, creative and cost effective design solutions. The centre will be promoting this year’s Architecture Week from June 21 to 30, to get people thinking about their built environment and how the buildings around us shape our lives, making for a worthwhile visit.
