“Firm hopes to build up trust”
A NEW service is being offered to Alcestrians by a town-based company which hopes to completely change the face of architecture.
A M Architectural Design is a newly created partnership consisting of Andy Mann, Andy Miles and Rachel Mann. The company believes that during the last 10 years, the architecture profession has been shrouded in mystery, cynicism and confusion and wants to change this.
With this in mind, the firm, based in Swan Street, has created a drop-in advice centre. The centre includes a “library” of magazines, periodicals and technical information, leaflet stands giving advice on a variety of topics and details of events, free use of an online PC with technical and trade CDs, a meeting and seminar room and a self-service coffee bar.
A company spokesman said: “We aim to break the age-old mould of the architectural profession percieved as the aloof, uncommunicative, slightly eccentric theorist. “We strongly believe that attentiveness, openness and good communication with clients will procure trust in the practice, leading to a strong reputation while helping to restore confidence in the architectural profession.
“We recognise that building good relationships with our clients is key to establishing a sound long-term future”.
